A recap of the first annual Belize Birding Festival. Bird watching is fast becoming a popular activity in Belize, for both visitors and locals alike. To date, over five hundred and eighty bird species have been recorded in the country. Although Belize is considered a small country, it is certainly blessed with big birding. Belizing.com was proud to be in attendance at the first ever Belize Birding Festival, held in Belmopan City on October 27, 2018.

It is time to get wildly civilized and go bird watching with The Lodge at Chaa Creek! The Lodge at Chaa Creek is noted to be a birder’s paradise with over three hundred species of birds found within their 400-acre private nature reserve.

We were invited over by Ian Anderson’s Caves Branch Adventure Company and Jungle Lodge, also known as “Caves Branch,” to go bird watching with their birding guides. Caves Branch is located in the outskirts of Belmopan just past the St. Herman’s Blue Hole National Park.

This is our first episode of our ongoing series titled "A Day in a Birder's Life". We arrived very early in the morning and met with Marvin Martinez and the rest of their birding guides. Marvin gave us a brief orientation and some history of how he got into birding, before taking us out on a bird watching adventure.

The Museum of Belize is one of Belize’s most unique places for you to learn about our nation’s rich history and cultural heritage. In the facility, you can see many interesting artifacts, including authentic jade pieces, preserved insects, and souvenirs that date back to the days of British Honduras.

The Taste of Belize Culinary Competition is one of the most unique and prestigious cooking competitions in Belize. Every two years, it is organized by the Belize Tourism Board with the goals to acknowledge and promote the great culinary artistry that our local chefs possess. Many cooks, bakers, and bartenders from all over the country enter this competition to represent their fine talents and their sponsoring business.

This past weekend, I had the opportunity to attend the BTB Digital Marketing Summit at the Belize Biltmore Plaza. It was a great networking and learning experience, especially for my job as a brand advocate and developer at Belizing.com.

For the first time, the Belizing Team attended the Caye Caulker Lobster Fest. This is said to be the biggest lobster fest in Belize. Is this true? We had to set out to Caye Caulker and find out for ourselves!

The 2018 Mango Fest was a fun and interesting event that the Belizing Team got to experience. Eating those delicious golden mangoes was the highlight of my trip!
