Tsunami Adventures can take you to see the amazing marine life of The Belize Barrier Reef, or take you on an unforgettable scenic flight over the Blue Hole.

My name is Heather Martin and I am the owner of Tsunami Adventures. I started Tsunami Adventures 1999.
We have lots of experience and island guides. We are a registered licensed tour operator.

As an approved Gold Standard Tour Operator, this means we provide a safe travel corridor for your fun in the Sun. We ask for you to read our Important Information page on our website and ask us any questions. A few great recommendations for your trips to consider: Bring a refillable water container and bring a UV buff - buy online or an outdoor store. Perfect for your trip, as the sun is strong. The UV buff also protects you as a mask when in public. You can also consider brining your own snorkel gear or purchase one from us.

Bad experience
I'm from Brazil and I took a group tour to Central American countries in March 2026. The itinerary and guide were from the Brazilian company, but the flight over the Blue Hole was booked through Tsunami Adventures and paid for in Brazil. On March 19th, the Tsunami driver came to our hotel to take us to the airport. However, instead of dropping us off at the airport entrance, he left us on a nearby ... more street, in front of a restaurant, and told us not to leave, that another person from the company would come to take us to the pilot. We thought it was strange that he didn't take us directly to the airport and left us in that location where there was no one, but we obeyed his instruction and waited there. There were three of us, and one of us asked for the name of the person who would pick us up. The driver replied that he didn't have authorization from Tsunami to give that information, but that he would take a picture of us to send to that person so they could recognize us. He took a picture of just our bodies (from the neck down), showed it to us, and left. Despite this very strange behavior, we stayed there, but after twenty minutes without anyone arriving, I messaged our guide from the Brazilian company, explaining the situation and asking him to speak with Tsunami, believing that this would solve the problem. But it didn't work, and we waited there for an hour until the same driver from Tsunami came to pick us up and inform us that we had missed our flight. They offered the opportunity to take the flight at another time (three hours later), and my two tour companions did, but I felt unsafe, didn't want to, and asked for a refund. Initially, they asked for my card details to reimburse me. Then they changed their minds and will no longer reimburse me, claiming that it was my fault for missing the flight because I was waiting in the wrong place. But how could it be my fault if the driver from Tsunami Adventures took me there? Furthermore, if Tsunami had resolved the problem quickly despite the driver's mistake, when the Brazilian company's guide called them, we wouldn't have missed our flight. But the guide later told us that Tsunami's staff simply didn't want to acknowledge the error or do anything about it. Only after much insistence did they send the driver again to take us from that location to the hotel. You, from Tsunami Adventures, who are reading this, put yourself in my place: how would you feel, being in a foreign country, not speaking the local language, being treated this way, being left on a deserted street, waiting for an hour? I felt unsafe and lost confidence in you, because a company that doesn't take responsibility for simple transportation from a hotel to an airport also won't take responsibility for a flight on a small plane. I insist on a refund, because the fault for missing the flight wasn't mine, but solely yours. Aren't you responsible for the behavior of the driver you yourselves hired? It wasn't my choice that I waited for an hour on that deserted street.
